The Backflow software automatically generates invoices for Tests and Surveys if you request it when your account is set up.
Every Test and Survey fee charged to your customer is listed under Invoices on the left-hand navigation and then further broken down as Invoice Queue and Invoice History.
Invoices printed from the Invoice Queue are moved to and archived under, the Invoice History section by selecting and printing invoices from the Invoice Queue. This allows you to print multiple invoices at one time and track the print history electronically. To differentiate, the Date Created is the first column in the Invoice Queue, and Date Printed is the first column of Invoice History. The Backflow software uses a column and cell structure called a Grid.
If you want to track which clients have invoices and their payment of invoices it's recommended that you export the Invoice Queue before you Print the invoices.
Select Invoice Grid Export from the dropdown menu. This will automatically start a download of a Microsoft Excel document.
Typical downloads in the Google Chrome browser show up at the bottom of your window.
You may see pop-up notifications like, "We found a problem with some content in "Invoices.xlsx". Do you want us to try to recover as much as we can? If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes."
Click Yes.
Once you've opened the Excel file, you may also be warned, "Removed Records:...." Click close. What it's pointing out is that column A has code and not data that you will need.
Column A can be deleted and then you can use the Excel document normally.
