This article summarizes the Control Panel, which is visible when the software launches. The Control Panel displays all the Test and Survey work for facilities and devices. If a facility appears multiple times on the Control Panel, it indicates that the facility has more than one active piece of test work and/or survey work. It is important to note that the Control Panel does not display a list of facilities.
Header Search & Buttons
At the top of the menu bar, you'll find the Device Quick Search, Control Panel, and Sync buttons. These options are here to help find information with ease. The Device Quick Search is available on all screens throughout the software
Quick Device Search: search for device by Serial Number, Barcode, or Cross Connection ID; Opens to the Hazard tab
Control Panel Button: allows users to return to the Control Panel page.
Sync Button: Green by default, red when there is data that needs to be uploaded from local storage. The Backflow software saves records locally when the network connection is weak, allowing for technicians to conduct work in areas without cellular connection. The software will attempt to load the data when connection is restored.

Workstate Filter
The Workstate filter allows you to organize and manage work on the Control Panel by its current status. Each workstate represents a specific stage or priority level, which helps technicians coordinate tasks more effectively.
When a workstate is applied to a piece of work, its color changes to match the assigned state, making it easy to identify at a glance. The default workstate for any piece of work is 'Available'.
Selecting an option from the drop-down list will apply the filter for that work state to the grid. One or many filters may be applied at once.
Filter Options:
Available: The work is ready to be completed
Client Managed: The work is being managed by the client.
Irrigation off: The related irrigation system is off or not in use.
Needs Review: The work requires review from a field member.
Office Review: The work requires review from a member of the office staff.
Priority: The work needs immediate attention and should be prioritized.
Unavailable: The work is not able to be completed.
Use Workstate Filter:
- Click on the Workstate filter drop-down menu.
- Click an option from the list to apply the filter. As many filters as needed can be applied by repeating steps one and two.
- Once the filter is applied, the chip will be visible above the grid.
- To remove a filter, click on the chip.
Date Filters
The date filter, located in the top right corner of the Control Panel, allows for users to quickly filter by due date. The drop-down menu has options to filter for due dates within the next 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year.
The ‘Work Count’ is a dynamic label that displays the total amount of work listed in the Control Panel. The count updates based on the selected filters.
